Psychological Support
Free Psychological Support for Women: How to Ask for Help
Psychological support is not only for moments of crisis. Sometimes one honest conversation with a specialist helps restore clarity, see the next step, and stop carrying tension alone.
When it is time to ask for help
Women often postpone self-care because they are used to being strong for their family, work, or community. Ongoing fatigue, anxiety, tears without a clear reason, loss of interest, or a feeling of being stuck are signals worth noticing.
- you struggle to sleep or wake up exhausted
- making decisions feels unusually hard
- you feel guilty for having needs
- you have no energy for communication, work, or learning
What happens during the first consultation
The first meeting does not require perfect preparation. It is enough to describe what worries you most right now. A specialist helps structure the situation, clarify the main request, and suggest a safe format for further support.
A psychological consultation is not a test of strength. It is a space where you can speak honestly without fear of judgment.
How to prepare
- write down 2-3 situations that repeat and drain you
- think about what you want to change first
- choose a quiet place for the conversation
- allow yourself to speak simply, without perfect wording
The NGO “Code of Ukrainian Woman” creates a supportive space where Ukrainian women can find orientation and take the next step toward stability.
